Our two architecturally designed Eco Lodges feature spacious open-plan interiors with pitched ceilings and inviting living areas, crafted from locally sourced macrocarpa timber, oak floors, and Mediterranean-style ceramic tiles. Equipped for self-catering with spring water supply and solar-powered electricity.

Recommended Stay​

The minimum stay is two nights. However, we highly recommend staying three nights or more to truly immerse yourself in the Sanctuary’s peaceful atmosphere. Our Eco Lodges offer a tranquil haven away from the hustle of busy roads and city life, where you can unwind and recharge in nature. unwind

Longer stays

If you’re interested in a longer-term stay, e.g. for a holiday, meditation or writers’ retreat or some other reasons, please don’t hesitate to discuss the possibilities with us. We will be happy to accommodate your needs, subject to availability.

We have discounted rates:

  • 7 nights or more: 15%
  • 14 nights or more: 20%
  • Longer stays, please enquire.

Proceeds from our Eco Lodge accommodations directly support the preservation and care of the Sanctuary's ecologically significant and outstanding environment.

Policies

Cancellation Policy
  • Free cancellation 14 days before check-in
  • 50% cancellation fee between 7 and 13 days before check-in
  • 100% cancellation fee less than seven days before check-in.

This cancellation policy applies to all reasons for cancellation.

  • Self-Check-in from 15:00 to 18:30
  •  Check-out by 10:00
Suitability
  • Two guests maximum per lodge
  • Not suitable for young children and infants
  • We have no facility for pets.
Safety
  •  Property secured with CCTV
  • Smoke alarm installed
  • Carbon monoxide detector not required in New Zealand.
Damage and Incidentals

Guests are responsible for any damage to the accommodation caused by them or their party during their stay. Please tread lightly and leave the place and its furnishings as you found them.
